Picture Book Challenge: March and April

Library haul! It's nice to relearn the farm animal signs and we are also learning the sounds. I love Ten Little Fingers and Ten Little Toes and we had to get another lift the flap book after the popularity of Animal Hide and Seek so Spot seemed like a good place as any to start.

Story Time at Nana's

We arrived at my parents to a huge pile of brand new books to read over our holiday. We had a pack of Lucy Cousins books including out first Maisy books. I really enjoyed the Harry series, stories about a soft toy elephant and his two friends. More than once L fell asleep whilst I read these stories to her.

My absolute favourite books for babies are nearly all Janet and Allan Ahlberg. It's a mix of the wonderfully detailed illustrations which are all so nostalgic of times gone by and quirky stories which mix the everyday and the wonderfully imaginative make believe world of childhood. Peepo! And Each Peach Pear Plum deserve space on every child's book shelf.
